Maryam Sheikh is an intellectual property trial lawyer who focuses on patent cases covering various cutting-edge technologies.

A former high school teacher who is fluent in Urdu and conversational in Punjabi and Hindi, Maryam is a cum laude graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, where she was a Dean’s List member.

During law school, Maryam worked with the Anti-Defamation League and Bayou City Waterkeeper on legal issues involving civil rights, water rights, free speech, and other areas of national interest. She also served as Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, where her student comment was selected for publication.

Maryam completed her degree in physics at Rice University with a minor in mathematics. Before her legal career, she taught physics and chemistry at a Houston college preparatory school for students from underserved communities.
